Las Vegas

We had all day Tuesday to kill so we decided to walk the strip. It was a nice warm day to just take our time and enjoy the scenery.

Having Fun With Mom

We decided to have some fun so I put Extensions in my mothers hair to see what dad would say. Let's just say that Dad Was very glad when I took them back out and she was back to normal. He told her that there was a time in life for long hair and that she was way past that. Later that night when we had all gone to bed we hear the two of them laughing and he said that he liked her alot better with short hair.

YUMA SAND DUNES

We had plans to spend a day renting a buggy and playing in the dunes but after we found out how much it cost and that you were also required to have a buggy license we decided not to go. I am sure that our son in law would of loved to have been there.

Playing Video Games

Sunday night Brennan, Bobbie, Delbert and Laynee decided it was time to play video games. I tried to help Laynee but she kept telling me no grandma Laynee do it. We had a grate time that weekend before we flew to Yuma.

Family Day At Brooks Water slides

Brennan left for a scout camp early that morning and when Laynee woke up she came and crawled into be with Del and I . When Del woke up she said to Del with her big eyes and a sweet smile: "Grandpa go to water slides and swim PLEASE". How do you say no to having fun with your granddaughter. We had lot's of fun that day and the only problem we had is when it was time to leave and Laynee didn't want to go.

Bretts letter - February 16th,2009

man it has been a week. the first week as senior companion and i had one of the assistants to the president come up and work with my companion and i. we had to really good days and i learned alot from him. something i wish is that i could just speak Spanish without any problems. he made me realize that teaching is really easy if we follow the promptings of the spirit. my mind has been going in circles this whole week, with trying to decide with all the people that we have and having to worry about meeting our goals, and then when i found out that the assistant was going to be with my companion and i it added a little more stress. but everything is good now after spending about 10 hours in the church yesterday, and having pday today. it is nice to have a day off to take care of the things for the week. its amazing how much i have learned in a week. i was talking to one of the members in our ward that is an ex missionary yesterday and i was telling him that i don't ever want to be a district or zone leader. he got kinda mad at me and was like you should strive to be one because you learn so much more about the gospel and everything when you have more responsibilities. i thought about this and realized that it is true. in the mission you learn more about the gospel than you can any other time of your life. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be here in Mexico even though it doesn´t feel like I'm here. my testimony has grown so much and i see miracles happen every day when I'm teaching. this is the lords work, and he is doing everything that he can to help us. Jesus Christ paid everything for us. he sacrificed his own life so that we can return to live with our heavenly father. how wonderful is that. to Know that we can return, to Know that we can learn and grow, to become more like our father in heaven. it is what he wants for us. we Know what we need to do. every week we participate in the sacrament. by participating in this we are showing to our heavenly father that we are willing to follow his son, we are willing to follow his ward, and to obey. we have the priesthood of god. think about that for a little bit. the same power and authority that our heavenly father owns. what a great gift, are we willing enough to show our heavenly father that we love him, and we will do everything we can to show our gratitude, for everything that we have received. we need to get past the thought that Satan puts in our heads. when we do this we will feel the spirit work through us, and we will be happy in those last days when we know that we have done everything, and that we will have a spot saved for us in the mansions of our father. this is the hope that i have, and what i want to do. i want to serve him as we promised when we were baptised. to always stand as a witness of our savior. i love the words of john in JOHN 1 in the bible when he is talking about our savior. i want you all to read it, and to pay attention to your feelings. they come from god and are true. take those feelings and act on them. i love you all and thanks for all that you do. love your brother son and friend, elder beazer
