Laynee & Travis
Laynee was feeling so miserable that she really didn't know who to go to for comfort. Other than she seemed to want Travis a lot. He was so good with her. As you can see she climbed up and layed on his chest to watch a movie with him. He will make a great dad some day.
BOY'S HAVING FUN
Thanksgiving weekend Del, Brennan, Ben, Brady and Travis our son in law went quading in the community pasture. While the guy's were quading Brooklyn and I were at home with a sick granddaughter. Brennan's wife was in New York with a cousin also having fun. The guy's had lot's of fun with only a few troubles. Del slid of the trail at one point and the boy's had to help him pull the quad back up. Travis on the other hand, well let's just say he was very luck. Being the guy he is he decided to go up a trail that was just a little to steep. His quad started rolling end over end while he was still on it. He managed to hang on for the couple of rolls but then lost his grip and started rolling down the hill with the quad coming behind him. Del said that it was truly a miracle that the quad stopped within inches of landing on him. Del also said that he is very grateful for prayer's being answered. The quad ended up with lot's of damage and Travis only had a sore shoulder. It was a good thing they were being watched over. I hope and pray that this is a lesson to my children that when you feel the need to pray for something just do it.

Friends & Family
We spent the weekend with Ben & Dawn, Brooklyn & Travis, & Brady. The purpose of going to Edmonton was to see Lauren Smith and her family. Lauren is waiting for a lung transplant. She has had a very rough time this past year with her health declining drastically. She has been in Edmonton for over a month now waiting for a donor. Because nothing has come along at this point the doctor’s feel that they need to prepare for a live donor transplant. So after all the family being tested at this point the doctor’s have chosen to use her parents Rock & Shauna as donors. This has been and will continue to be a heavy burden on the family. They are a very strong and positive family and we all need to step back and follow their examples of what families are truly about. We felt bad for leaving Lauren at the hospital to go out and have dinner together, but we did take her a treat back. So as the family prepares for the surgeries in November please remember them in your prayers. If you feel that you would like to keep up on what is happening we have created a blog for them. The blog is www.rockshauna.blogspot.com. There is also a facebook group that anyone can join which is lauren smith & family group.
